A boneguard is a barrier film made of polyester cotton with a wax layer. This layer of foil is placed over exposed bone to protect food packaging such as our vacuum bags from penetration and prevent leaks during vacuuming. It is highly resistant to penetrating sharp objects such as broken bones.
Used with a wide range of meat packaging solutions, including hams, preformed trays and multivac wraps. Protect your packaging from sharp or serrated meat and ham with a boneguard
Oxygen is and remains something that can help the shelf life of the meat backwards. Sometimes one package is not enough to protect meat with a hard and sharp bone. If that bone comes through, it can have a negative effect on the meat.
That is why it is useful to protect for meat with a sharp and thick bone exrta and you do that by means of a boneguard.
Before you vacuum a piece of meat with a sharp piece, put the boneguard over it. This is also only possible over the part that is sharp. As soon as the boneguard is placed, the piece of meat can be placed in the vacuum bag and in the vacuum machine.
If the boneguard is properly placed, for example, the piece of bone will not have broken through. As soon as the vacuum process is ready, remove the vacuumed piece of meat from the vacuum machine. Then you can enjoy your beautiful unpenetrated bag of meat.
